I am happy with my purchase, although I wish that I had known I could only use the coffee pods. No big deal, as I can purchase an insert to be able to use my own select brand of coffee. It works well, and brews quickly. Tends to splash a little if I use one of my smaller coffee cups, but easy clean up. Overall, I would recommend for the price!

I have owned this coffeemaker for only one week, but am happy with it so far. About three years ago we broke a glass carafe and got a new HB brew station 47374, which was the predecessor to this model. It appears to be identical except for a bit more chrome coloring on this model. It had terrible reviews which were primarily due to coffee leaking and even possible fire hazard. We got one anyway because we were tired of having to pour and clean the fragile carafes and have been happy with it. We never had any problem other than small leaks that were due to coffee dripping down the side of the cup during dispensing. We also tried the more expensive 47454 model, but returned it because it leaked internally the first time we used it.
PROS: 1. One hand dispensing, (but sometimes need to steady unit from sliding). 2. No fragile carafes to clean or break. 3. Appears to brew better than our old Mr. Coffee.

I just purchased this "BrewStation" from a local retailer after my old drip machine (with a glass carafe) died. I have to admit that I am a "coffee snob" and often use a French press (the preferred method by coffee enthusiasts) to brew my morning Joe. However, when I don't have time, I use a drip machine. With that being said, the BrewStation is a very simple and convenient coffee maker with plenty of upside: The combo water filler/coffee "basket" has a handle and a pour spout that makes filling the unit a breeze. I really like not having a glass carafe sitting on a hot plate (which only burns the coffee and gives it a bitter taste); one less thing to wash. Also, the pour valve on the unit has a solid seal that doesn't leak (so far). Now with the downside: It has a spot for a water filtration cartridge, but you have to purchase the unit separately. I purchased this for my wife as a gift. When we moved from our apartment, I thew out her old coffee maker in hopes and determination of buying her a Keurig, which she has been wanting for some time now. Well, long story short, I got into a car accident, lost my job, and have been unable to provide my wife with the coffee she so desires! Luckily for me, I found this Hamilton Beach maker for a ridiculously low price here on Amazon! Sure, it's red, and doesn't match anything in our kitchen, but it's a coffee maker nonetheless, and does somewhat what the Keurig does (makes coffee using some sort of pod...which I think is neat). I got it in the mail the other day, and when my wife came home and saw the maker, she was very surprised and happy :) Now, I'll be honest. I'm an idiot. I bought this product because I wanted a single cup, pod coffee maker to replace my worn out Senseo pod coffee maker. This product works well but is very slow and is limited to only 12 oz. of water at a time.
I miss my Senseo. Unfortunately, they are no longer producing it and the only ones I can find are on e-bay and they want too much for them.

This is a perfect personal coffee maker. Have used it 4 times now and I'm loving it. I wanted a personal coffee maker that I didn't have to mess with filter but I did't want to use the Kcups either (to much waste for the environment). This is great. One little POD that I can actually use twice. When I'm done with the POD I pull out the cup, throw away POD, rinse and I'm done. I can also make my coffee as strong or weak as I want. The only down side I'm finding is there doesn't seem to be as great of a selection of flavors of pods as Kcups but that's OK. LOVE IT. When I opened up the box to get to my great little coffee maker I discover a free bag of coffee pods had been sent also! HOW GREAT!!!
