I love coffee.I bought one of these Hamilton Beach HB Coffee Grinders in black because it was available, not because I had planned to do so. It was an impulse buy at the time. We needed to buy a grinder after we left a house-share situation with a very sophisticated grinder that we had grown accustomed to using. Due to extensive travel over the last few years, our regular coffee and kitchen equipment is in storage over 1000 miles from our current location. We purchased this Hamilton Beach grinder about 6 or 7 months ago and we paid about $14.95 plus tax. At the time of purchase, we figured if it lasted a few months we would be satisfied and we would have received our money's worth. It's now ~7 months later, and we use this grinder everyday for grinding whole bean coffee for "one-off" cups which we brew utilizing a "Melita style" drip system. I bought it again, again quite disappointing - makes quite a lot of noise, not like as it is advertised. I used to own a Braun and a Krups, both lasted for years without any problem.I wouldn't recommend Hamilton Beach products. |
