 A disappointing purchase!, By This review is from: Hamilton Beach Programmable Thermal 10 Cup Coffeemaker (Kitchen) I liked the look of this coffee maker and the thermal carafe. I should have paid closer attention to other reviewers because the the carafe does, indeed, leak when pouring, quite messy. The coffee does not get hot. Worst of all, the coffee maker stopped working after about 1 week of service. Same thing happened with the replacement unit, and there's no way to turn the heating plate on to remedy the situation. As for pouring, you're more talented than me if you can fill a cup without coffee dribbling all over your counter. Since some reviewers claim their experience with this machine produces hot coffee, I can only assume that *some* of these units work properly, but from my experience, I would say you're just as likely as not to get a crappy product that doesn't work. For this price -- or even a much lower one -- you can find a much better coffeemaker elsewhere.
